Tips for Special Situations
For stain removal
Use your Sonicare toothbrush twice daily or as instructed by your dental professional. Reapply toothpaste and brush for a few extra
seconds on stained areas.
For periodontal pockets
Your dental professional may tell you that you have periodontal pockets. Make sure your dental professional tells you where
these pockets are and if you need to spend additional time gently brushing over each pocket.
For orthodontic patients
The brush should be placed at an angle between your brackets and gumline. Using light pressure, gently wiggle the tips of the
longer bristles between your teeth for 2 seconds. Then gently turn (roll) the brush handle so the bristles clean the bracket
and the rest of the tooth before you glide the bristles to the next tooth. Continue this until you have brushed all of your teeth.
Do not force the bristles into gaps in the braces.
For travel
The brush head and handle may be easily transported, and will hold a charge for up to 2 weeks of typical use.
For dental implants and restorations (caps, crowns, bridges & fillings)
Sonicare toothbrushes have been proven safe and effective.
For comparative clinical studies
Studies should be performed with the Easy Start feature deactivated.
