How often should I use my Sonicare toothbrush?

For best results, it is recommended that you use your Sonicare toothbrush for the full two minutes at least twice a day. You may also use your Sonicare toothbrush on any other occasion when you would use your manual brush.


I feel a tickling sensation when I first use my Sonicare toothbrush. Is this normal?

Yes, a tickling sensation is normal, but the sensation will diminish as you get used to it.


Should my gums be tender after I use my Sonicare toothbrush?

If you have gum disease, have not been using a power toothbrush, or have not maintained regular gum care, some tenderness may occur. Be sure you are applying only light pressure to your teeth and gums.


My Sonicare toothbrush will not turn on. What should I do?

Recharge your Sonicare toothbrush overnight, ensuring that it is not plugged into a socket controlled by a light switch. If you continue to have problems, contact us.


How often should I replace my brush head?

We recommend you replace your brush head at least every 6 months to ensure optimal performance. You can get replacement brush heads through a number of our retail partners (in stores near you or online).
